The Café

Schnauzer & Beagle Brewery ist not only a Brewery itself but also a nice and cosy neighborhood Café in the 10th district of Vienna (close to Matzleinsdorfer Platz), where we serve delicious homemade food, tasty cakes & great Melbourne style coffee (from flat white to the long black).

Our focus is on sustainable, local sourced food (where possible). We aim to minimise waste by utilising philosophies such as "root to leaf“. We make almost everything from scratch in-house were possible.
What is Melbourne style coffee?
After the Second World War, many Italians emigrated to Australia and with them they brought not only their espresso machines, but the associated coffee culture to Australia. By the middle of the 20th century Melbourne had already established its own unique Coffee Culture and with time, evolved into the world renowned coffee scene that exists today. Having said that, the Melbourne coffee scene is much more than just great coffee. It is a place that is seamlessly connected with freshly prepared food, joy, friends & conversation.

We offer casual and tasty snack food/dinner using fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. It is not only about feeding the tummies, but treating the soul with our yummy homemade cakes, Aussie pies and sausage rolls.

Transparency is especially important to us because it matters what we eat. So in all our dishes we use only organic eggs and Austrian meat (birth, rearing & slaughter. We often use organic meat in our dishes - please check out our menu). In the months April - November we get the vegetables from the wonderful Gärtnerei Bach in the 22nd district.

What makes us different from others?
We are a family owned brewery/café that not only cares for our human friends, but the furry ones as well. Come with your pet, give them one of our dog treats for a free-will donation. The money raised will be donated to a different animal welfare organization on a rotating basis.
