toasted bread ale

Rock 'n' Rolls is a Toasted Bread Ale. We replaced 1/3 of the malt with old bread reducing bread waste.                                                                     

It It is a pleasantly refreshing lightly hopped beer with light bread notes- a great „spritziger“ summer drink.  O

Our Toasted Bread Ale is a Limited Release and also Tina’s very first brew! For this reason she wanted to brew a beer with a personal not. As a nutritionist, reducing food waste has been a passion of hers from the beginning.

In Austria every 5th loaf of bread ends up in the trash. Vienna alone throws away enough bread to feed Graz, our 2nd largest city. So Tina decided to recycle some bread and use it for beer. Big thanks to Ströck to support our ideas and to provide old bread.

We will donate 20 Censt from each beer sold to Wiener Tafel.  Wiener Tafel - the association for social transfer - saves up to four tons of food a day from the garbage and uses the valuable donations of goods from trade, industry and agriculture to supply 19,000 people affected by poverty in around 100 social institutions in the greater Vienna area.

With our donation we want to support the Wiener Tafel’s commitment against poverty and throwaway mentality. This beer will be only available at our brewery, so pop in, have a good drink, do something good and help us fight against food waste.
